It´s the Lepe´s tourist core par excellence. Its takeoff was at the same time than the 60s tourist boom. La Antilla, main Lepe´s beach, less than five km from the city, becomes a big opened space in front of the sea with more than three km beaches of fine and golden sand. With more than three thousand of sunshine time per year and a comfortable weather, it´s the suitable place to enjoy a holidays in the south of Andalusia.

Thanks to the perfect state of beaches, water quality and its fine sand, together to the wide variety of services like cleaning, security, surveillance, health and tourist and  as well as environmental information, it has been recognized as a quality beach with emblems like "tourist quality Q",  and "Ecoplayas". This beach continues preserving the familiar character, and its tourist infrastructure increasingly makes it a reference point for the national and international tourist.

In La Antilla we find the fishermen district, neighborhood strongly linked to the sea and which has achieved surviving to the developed tourism on this area as well as preserving its traditional environment and its deeply-rooted customs. Today, its boats continue on the sand, surrounded of nets and fishing equipment.
