El Terrón, a fishing and high quality sport port,  which is located near the Piedras River mouth, within the natural landscape "Piedras River´s marshes and Nueva Umbria sandbar". One of the most relevant historical events within its history was the expedition´s preparation which led Juan Díaz de Solís to the River Plate´s discovery.

In the olden days, a lot of fish and shellfish from the area were fished every day, highlighting the El Terrón´s famous prawn, which can be still enjoyed in bars or restaurants in the area. Currently the largest ships can not sail to the port, because of in the river´s mouth there is a sandbar that each year increases and prevents the ships entrance to the river.

After the infrastructure remodelling, this port has been provided with water sports facilities. According to touristic enclave needs. Currently you can play sports like angling or trolling, which can give us great satisfactions. We can also sail on boats down the river through the natural landscape "Piedras River´s marshes and Nueva Umbría sandbar" where we find a sand barrier, a natural and protected area, which has white and fine sand where you also can practise nudism.

Within that port, we locates the El Terrón nautical-fishing association, which already has more than one hundred boats associated.
