Introducción
Lepe is located in the geographical center of Huelva´s coast region. It is about 35 km from Huelva´s capital and about 20 km from Portugal borderline. Lepe´s bordered to the western with Isla Cristina, to the northwestern with Villablanca, the north corner is bordered with Ayamonte and Sanlúcar del Guadiana, as well as the Piedras river border´s with Cartaya to the west, and in the south the Atlantic Ocean is found.
Lepe is known not only today but from the past, because of the commercialization of good fruits to the other European countries. Today, the wines and figs have been replaced by strawberries, khakis, raspberry or nectarines and the marketing of oranges, which have been leading in the national market because of its large scale production and technological advancement. Eminently fishing and farming, Lepe is famous for its way to understand and to face the daily reality understood as a joke.
Lepe´s coast is wide, rich and varied, with different ecosystems, dunes, beaches, marshes... Lepe, with its natural and environmental resources, as well as the opened character of the people and their hospitality, makes it become a destination for many tourists. With its excellent climate, relaxing and resting at the beaches, makes this area an attractive place for visitors.
